PetDose Terms of Use

These Terms apply to the mobile app PetDose (the "App") provided by Sean Lynch ("we", "us"). By using the App you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. Where they conflict, Apple's agreement controls for anything it covers.

1. Not veterinary advice

PetDose is a record-keeping tool. It records what you enter and can warn you when an entry is close to a previous one. It never recommends, calculates or adjusts a dose, and nothing in the App is veterinary or medical advice. Always follow your veterinarian's instructions. Dose warnings and reminders are aids, not guarantees: they depend on what is entered, on your device's settings, and on notifications being delivered. You remain responsible for your animal's care. In an emergency, contact a veterinarian.

2. PetDose Pro and one-time purchases

• PetDose Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription, offered monthly or yearly. It removes ads and adds the full history, the vet visit report, charts, and spreadsheet and printable exports. Tracking pets, medications, schedules, dose warnings and reminders is free.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion ends when you purchase a subscription. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and you are charged.
• Manage or cancel in the iPhone Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple.
• Pro for life is a one-time purchase that gives the same access as PetDose Pro for as long as the App is available to you. It is not a subscription and never renews.
• Report passes are one-time purchases. One pass lets you send one vet report (one pet and one period, in any format, and again the same day). A pass is kept on the phone it was bought on; if you delete the App or switch phones before using it, it may not be restorable, because Apple does not restore used consumable purchases.
• Portrait Pack, Seizure Care Pack and Senior Care Pack are one-time purchases that can be restored with Restore purchases, and PetDose Pro includes all of them. A keepsake book is spent when you make the book. A tip is a thank-you: it unlocks nothing and changes nothing in the App.
• The care packs and the keepsake book print what you recorded. They never recommend a dose or say what a number means.

3. Ads

The free version of the App shows non-personalized ads provided by Google AdMob. See our Privacy Policy.

4. Your data

Your records are stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping backups, for example through your iPhone backup or the App's export. We are not able to recover records deleted from your device.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the App, attempt to reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or interfere with its advertising or purchase systems.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any harm to an animal, arising from use of or inability to use the App, including missed, late or duplicate doses. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
