Glow Horde Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sean Lynch ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the mobile game Glow Horde (the "App").
1. Summary
- Your game stays on your phone. Glow Horde has no account and no cloud save. Your progress is stored only on your device.
- We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, or location.
- The App shows optional reward videos (Google AdMob), processes purchases through Apple and RevenueCat, uses Apple Game Center for leaderboards if you are signed in, and asks our small time server for the date so seasons end on time for everyone. What each of them receives is listed in section 4.
- The App does not track you across other companies' apps and websites, does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, and has no analytics SDK. We do not sell your information.
2. Information the App stores on your device
Your heroes, gear, camp buildings, survivors, currencies, season progress, purchase flags, settings, and the time you last played. This is kept in the App's storage on your device and used to run the game, including camp build timers and energy refills. We cannot see it. It is removed when you delete the App.
3. Ads and consent
The only ads in Glow Horde are reward videos that you choose to watch, for example to double a run's coins or refill energy. There are no banner ads and no pop-up ads. In regions where the law requires it, the App shows Google's consent form before any video loads, and you can change your choice later with the Privacy Choices button in the Shop.
4. Information processed by third-party services
| Purpose | Data | Provider |
|---|---|---|
| Showing the reward videos you choose to watch, and measuring them | IP address and the approximate region derived from it, device model and iOS version, a device identifier for vendors (not the advertising identifier), and ad interactions. Ads are not personalized to you across other apps. | Google AdMob |
| Processing and restoring purchases and the Survivor Card subscription, and purchase reporting for the developer | Store transaction identifiers, purchase receipts, subscription status, a randomly generated app-install identifier, and the region derived from your IP address. Not linked to your name or email, and not used for tracking. | Apple App Store and RevenueCat |
| Daily Trial and Boss Rush leaderboards | If you are signed in to Game Center, your Game Center player identity and the scores you post in those modes. Game Center is Apple's service and is governed by Apple's policy. You can play every mode without it. | Apple Game Center |
| Knowing the current date and season, so a changed phone clock cannot end or skip a season | A request with no game data in it. Like any web request, it carries your IP address, which our hosting provider may keep briefly in its logs. We do not store it. | Our time server, hosted by Cloudflare |
None of these services receives your name, your Apple Account details, your payment card or your billing address from the App. Their own policies: Google, RevenueCat, Apple, Cloudflare.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
The App sells optional in-app purchases: gem packs, timed bundles, heroes, cosmetic skins, the Season Pass, one-time upgrades such as the Skip-Ad Pass and the Second Builder, and one auto-renewing subscription, the Survivor Card. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. You manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings, and Restore Purchases is at the bottom of the Shop. The Supply Crate is a random draw: the odds of every rarity are shown on the crate in the Shop. If Apple refunds a purchase, the item it unlocked is removed from the game.
6. Data retention and deletion
- Your game data: kept on your device until you delete the App.
- Ad data: retained by Google under its own retention settings. Because it is not tied to your name, we usually cannot look up one person's data. If you would like us to try, email us and include the date and your device model.
- Purchase records: retained by Apple and RevenueCat as required for tax, accounting and disputes. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. After a reinstall, use Restore Purchases.
- Leaderboard scores: held by Apple Game Center. You can manage Game Center in iOS Settings.
7. Children
The App is rated 12+ and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will help remove it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information and to object to processing. Because your game is stored only on your device, you can remove it by deleting the App. For anything held by our providers, email us and we will pass on or act on the request within the time your law requires. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.
9. Security
Your game is protected by your device's security and the iOS app sandbox. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.
10. Changes
We will update this policy when the App changes and revise the date above. If the App ever adds analytics, starts asking for tracking permission, or sends your game data off the device, this policy will be updated before that release.
