Overview
Dead Zone (“the Game”) is published by Sean Lynch (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains information handled when you use version 1.0 of the iOS Game.
The Game does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, address, contacts, photos, precise location, health information, or financial information. The Game uses Google Mobile Ads to provide advertisements and Google’s User Messaging Platform to present applicable privacy choices.
Information stored on your device
Gameplay progress and settings—including scores, unlocks, upgrades, mastery, missions, and preferences—are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a server that receives this gameplay save in version 1.0. Local data remains until you delete the Game, clear its storage, or reset the device.
Advertising and consent
Google Mobile Ads may process IP address-derived approximate location, device identifiers, advertising data, product interactions, crash data, and performance data to deliver, measure, secure, and improve advertisements. Dead Zone requests non-personalized advertising and does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. Non-personalized advertising can still use identifiers for frequency capping, fraud prevention, and aggregated reporting.
Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform presents consent or privacy choices before ads are requested. You can reopen available choices from Privacy & Data on the main menu. Google’s own policies govern its processing; see Google’s Privacy Policy.
Device features and permissions
The Game uses local device capabilities for gameplay, such as haptic feedback and app lifecycle handling. It does not request access to the camera, microphone, contacts, photos, precise location, or Bluetooth. Haptics can be turned off from the main menu.
Sharing
Advertising-related information may be processed by Google and advertising partners involved in serving an ad. We do not sell the local gameplay save. Apple may independently process information related to downloading and operating apps under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.
Retention and security
Local gameplay data is retained on your device until removed as described above. Because the save is not transmitted to us, we cannot retrieve or restore it after the Game is deleted.
Children
Dead Zone is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us using the address below.
Your privacy rights
Because we do not maintain user accounts or receive the local save, we cannot identify or edit device-local gameplay data. You can remove that data by deleting the Game. Advertising privacy controls and additional instructions are provided on the Privacy Choices page.
For a non-sensitive privacy question or inappropriate-ad report, open a support request. GitHub issues are public. Include only non-sensitive details such as the approximate date, time, and a description of the ad. Do not post passwords, identifiers, payment information, or other personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Game, its service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated, and material changes will be communicated as required by law.
